Every Sonic Mania review is the same but they're all true. It's the best Sonic game in years. It's absolutely in my top 5 of all time.

A very nice looking sonic game with gameplay and graphics lovingly based off the older sonic titles. Gameplay is fast and challenging at some points with satisfying boss battles.

It's pretty **** good, just that the game seems to be a bit slow at some points

Mmmh... I was never a fan of Sonic games. I felt they were confusing with all the different paths. My completionist brain couldn't get around having to leave items uncollected behind. It is still the case on this entry. But I can appreciate the quality of the game, art design, music, and being true to the original Sonic concept.
