Description

Bayonetta is a butt-kicking, havoc-wreaking witch, and she’ll shoot, whip, slice, and burn angels as she uncovers the truth about her own past. Her weapons and moves are all stylishly over-the-top, but she can also dodge attacks to slow down time, and inflict Torture Attacks on her enemies. This is the prequel to the Bayonetta™ 2 game, and it’s every bit as sassy, destructive, and epic as you’d expect. Bayonetta is the fashionable and foxy unholy offspring of an Umbra Witch and a Lumen Sage, and she’s lost her memory after being asleep at the bottom of a lake for 500 years. Use Wicked Weaves to summon Infernal Demons, dodge enemies’ dangerous attacks to slow down time, and punish angels with deadly devices. You can even dress Bayonetta up in four Nintendo-themed costumes—Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Link, and Samus Aran.

A very short game but Bayonetta games is one of them things you want to start at the begin because other Bayonetta games will follow where the previous one ended. The game does run a lot better on Nintendo Switch then other Nintendo console. I loved to grind and farm so this game was perfect for that.

The flow of the game is ruined by some poorly placed quick time events. It's not a bad game at all, but the sequel is far superior in every way possible. Get this one only if you're a big fan of the Umbra Witch.

While dated in comparison to the sequel, Bayonetta is a thoroughly enjoyable game with exactly the over-the-top plot you'd expect. I personally had some issues with the game feeling somewhat unpolished in areas but a lot of that had to do with having some experience playing the sequel first which is polished to high **** in comparison. For those who enjoy stringing together massive combos in ludicrous style though? This is a must-buy.
